For three years I've suffered from unbearable chronic pain following surgery for otosclerosis. For three years I've been going to the emergency room. For three years I've been told, "We don't know this condition" or "There's nothing we can do." NOT EVEN AN EXAMINATION. I've been put on tramadol repeatedly, up to five tablets a day, without ever seriously investigating the cause of my pain. No specialized care. No lasting solution. This weekend, the pain was so bad I couldn't stand it anymore. I went to the emergency room. I didn't even see a specialist. They prescribed Valium and Acupan... even though I'm pregnant. Then they sent me home. I left still with 100% pain and zero answers. When a young patient has been suffering since she was 17, the least they can do is listen to her and try to understand. Here, I mostly felt like a file that no one knew what to do with.

No doctor available during the holidays, still waiting for the results of my CT scan and X-rays, etc... And no one. They tell me to go to the ER and call 15 (the French emergency number), which is ridiculous. It would be much more useful to have qualified doctors who could read X-rays and CT scans the same day instead of making patients wait. I've been in a lot of pain since January 11th, I limp with my hip, etc. It's impossible to request home care since I haven't seen a doctor, so I'm still suffering. It's completely unacceptable to leave patients suffering and for no one to be competent enough to inform us about our tests. If I had gone to the clinic, I would have had the results the same day. And if my condition worsens, the hospital will be responsible.

Is it normal to let a 90-year-old woman leave the emergency room unaccompanied at 1 a.m.? Her doctor referred her that afternoon. I don't think so... I live 700 km from Montluçon, so it was impossible for me to come in the evening. She had to take a taxi home. I understand the lack of resources, but still. 😡

There was no communication between caregivers regarding my daughter's care and feedings, even though she was only two weeks old. No one gave the same information. The pediatrician was practically nonexistent. When we asked for updates on test results, no one could answer us except to say, "We'll look into it and get back to you," without ever following up. I absolutely do not recommend going here. In the bathroom, the walls are stained with a liquid that has stuck to the toilet paper, and the sink where I have to clean my daughter is stained with a black substance.

I took my daughter to the emergency room and she was seen very quickly. The pediatric department was excellent in the speed with which they performed the necessary examinations, and in their attitude and attentiveness towards my daughter. I would like to thank the nurse and the doctor who assisted us. Thank you so much for the amazing work you do every day despite your limited resources and salaries. You deserve so much better! THANK YOU!
