Few staff, not very available, and not always friendly. A nurse who's always running around, and you don't even have time to ask a question. No doctors come by! The diets are poorly followed, and no effort is made to ensure the residents' comfort. This is not what you expect for a comfortable end of life.... I would not recommend this place under any circumstances.

The end of a human life in our society is a complex issue to grasp. We all have an opinion on "how to do it" and are quick to criticize the practices of healthcare professionals and caregivers. What if we were a little more attentive to the person's needs, rather than letting our guilt about not keeping them close lead us to blame others? Some people no longer have...

I strongly advise against this establishment for anyone who cares about the elderly and doesn't want to see them mistreated. The nursing staff are appalling to the residents—I say appalling because I haven't encountered worse—and equally appreciative of the families. Fortunately, there are a few who redeem things. I don't know what criteria they were used for recruitment, but empathy certainly wasn't a factor!

I'm giving 1 star because I wouldn't have been able to write, but otherwise I would have given 0 because my dad starved to death in this place, he couldn't move, and since we were working, we couldn't be on time for meals, but when we went there in the late afternoon, we were told that he ate well!! He only stayed 2 months and was a skeleton!! So I don't recommend this establishment.
