I'm part of the vocal group Les Campaniles. We came to sing at this nursing home at the end of January. We received a warm welcome from the staff and residents, who participated in an incredible way. Thank you to everyone, and congratulations to the activities coordinator for his enthusiasm.

No management, a place lacking in human touch and activities for residents. A large park for fresh air and walks. Benches provide opportunities to stop and chat. Overall, it's quite good.

Thank you to the staff and director of this facility who provided such remarkable care for our mother during her last two weeks of life. We had a room made available to us to spend the night with her, received personalized care, and enjoyed regular visits...it was a peaceful passing. Thank you to these kind-hearted caregivers.

This is how they treat patients at home. This is a letter I just sent them. I am writing to you to denounce the shameful practices of the Sablonat nursing home, located at 9 Boulevard Albert 1er, 33800 Bordeaux, an establishment supposedly authorized to care for patients with Alzheimer's disease and related illnesses. My 80-year-old father has Lewy body dementia. His disease is very advanced; it is a degenerative brain disorder. Since my parents have small pensions, for financial reasons, we found an alternative to my father's permanent hospitalization: day hospital care twice a week. This allows my mother to have some respite. Today we find ourselves at an impasse because the Les Sablonat nursing home has decided to discharge my father, stating, and I quote, "the illness is very advanced, and we are unable to manage it." They gave us one month to find another facility... however, ALL of them have rejected my father's application due to lack of space. I find it shameful to discharge patients when the very purpose of this nursing home is to care for this type of patient. Today my father finds himself without a facility that can accommodate him... How can we help patients? Are you aware that people are sent home to die when they cannot afford permanent housing, even with social assistance? That is what I was clearly told. Do you condone these practices of subsidizing these facilities, which are supposed to care for sick people, and then discharging them when their illness progresses?
