EHPAD Louis Balsan à CHATEAUROUX

Hello, my mother has been in this nursing home since October 2022 and I must say I'm worried about her. She's completely withdrawn. The staff doesn't seem to be taking good care of her.

One question: I had time to tell my mom that I loved her, but where did the clothes my aunt sent her go? I know the style of clothes my aunt sent my mom and why they weren't hers. I know very well that she liked the clothes. I wasn't aware she was in the nursing home; otherwise, with my limited resources, I would have put her in another, more suitable retirement home. The staff are awful; let's not even talk about it. These retirement homes shouldn't exist.

Depuis plusieurs années, mon arrière grand mère était très heureuse dans cette maison de retraite, beaucoup de complicité avec le personnel soignant, beaucoup d’animation diversifiée, le personnel est toujours au petit soins avec les résidents, maison de retraite très moderne, très propre, point négatif manque de personnel..

The house is very poorly maintained. A shower every three weeks, if that... the bedroom is dirty, the bathroom is filthy. It's shameful to let people live in these conditions for €2,000 a month. Just steps from the new swimming pool, which will never be profitable, the mayor should have managed the city's priorities better. What a disgrace! It's sickening!

Excellent nursing home, very satisfied for my mother. The caregivers are kind and attentive. If I remember correctly, this (public) nursing home costs no more than 2000 euros per month. They are not responsible for the staff shortages in nursing homes, and elected officials have no say in the upkeep of these facilities. I recommend this nursing home, whose premises are relatively newer compared to others!
