Despite the problems they face, the entire hospital team is doing its best to meet all the patients' needs. And this isn't the case for all hospitals.

Medical care is practically nonexistent... doctors arrive from the mainland as reinforcements and, as a result, don't know the patients' files. My father has been languishing there for four months. Thank goodness for the nurses and caregivers, because doctors, information, follow-up care, etc... we're still looking for them :(

A new hospital with a beautiful view and a quiet location. It's a shame it lacks competent staff. While visiting Belle-Île, I felt a sharp pain in my shoulder, and was forced to see a doctor at this hospital (there aren't any elsewhere). I was prescribed anti-inflammatories and a splint for supposed tendonitis; plus a prescription for an ultrasound and an X-ray. After seeing my doctor, who immediately realized it wasn't tendonitis, he ordered an MRI. The result: a ruptured tendon. Not very serious!

There's no emergency department...but an unscheduled care department! You have to understand the difference! A very, very elderly person waited nearly five hours before being seen: obviously, she hadn't eaten lunch! As for me, I gave up after two hours after receiving unpleasant remarks from the two on-call doctors, who were clearly very upset at being so busy!!!

Excellent care in the emergency room by the doctor and nurse. They were very competent and attentive. However, the dentist's behavior was shameful and unacceptable: my partner broke three teeth after a bicycle accident. The dentist, who was at the hospital at the time, didn't even bother to come to the emergency room to examine my partner. She had finished work at 4:30 PM, even though the emergency room had notified her...
