There was absolutely no empathy from the staff at the emergency room reception desk on the night shift. We were treated condescendingly and made to feel like we were bothering them. Thankfully, the doctors and nurses were more humane and attentive. Perhaps they should consider a career change if they're no longer capable of patience, listening skills, and empathy. Truly unpleasant.

At one time, I had positive things to say about the emergency room. An ER doctor saved my life, and only thanks to him. Because if I had relied on the reception staff, who made me wait two hours with a pulmonary embolism, I would have died.
Since then, I've needed the ER a few times, and the reception is still not up to scratch. There's no empathy, no competence regarding the urgency of the situation, and then—this is new—the hygiene is deplorable. Furthermore, the doctors and nurses only wear masks sporadically. Recently, I unfortunately witnessed an incident: an agitated, unfriendly patient, I admit, had defecated on the floor. A young nursing assistant or nurse, I couldn't tell which, was incredibly vulgar and violent in her speech. I'm shocked by this lack of control and ignorance... As for the doctors, they're never the same ones; they're scattered, don't really listen, and are certainly overwhelmed and too busy with the number of arrivals... But if there were a system in place to assess the level of urgency upon arrival, that would be a way to triage patients and avoid making those who are truly in danger wait.
In conclusion: renovations are all well and good, but you need competent healthcare staff, attentive listening, and training for the reception staff.

I'm currently in the ER; it's been two hours already. My 26-month-old daughter is starting to get a little restless, but she's not crying, just giggling with her sister. She's not causing any trouble. I find it outrageous that the ER receptionist, the woman in question, felt entitled to leave and tell us to shush... a little understanding would be appreciated. I have a 10-month-old, a 26-month-old, and my 13-year-old daughter.
Patrick ERNOULT,
My girlfriend came to this hospital for an abortion! It's a real shame that zero stars isn't possible! One of the worst hospitals I've ever been to for an abortion (something important). They tried to force her to keep the baby, which is absolutely none of their business, and when they finally understood that she didn't want one, they tried to force her to be hospitalized?! Even though she prefers to do it at home, which is perfectly normal in my opinion. Unfortunately, they don't seem to understand and force her to be hospitalized, which is absolutely neither mandatory nor necessary. They also postponed the abortion appointment for an awareness session, as if it's not important to get it done quickly. In short, avoid this place! Ladies, if you want an abortion, don't do what we did, don't waste time, go directly to a better-organized hospital like the one in Le Havre or Rouen!
