EHPAD Maison du Combattant à VESOUL

As my mother's caregiver, who has been in the facility for nine years, I have observed a decline in her care since she lost her independence. Despite several requests, the telephone and call bell are still not within her reach. The cleanliness of her room leaves much to be desired.

As the person's guardian, the institution didn't inform me of anything and summoned my uncle alone, which is an abuse of a vulnerable person… The staff are truly unpleasant, and there's nothing they can do… It's shameful that the doctor went against the previous doctor's recommendation of an MRI…

The staff is friendly, but too few in number to respond to residents' requests in a timely manner. The renovated rooms are pleasant and comfortable, while the older rooms are cramped and lacking in amenities. The food, often prepared on-site, is good and varied.

Apart from 1 or 2 kind people, this place is dirty. Room cleaned every day!!!! 3 days after my visit, still the same filth under the table. The food is not good and not very varied..... and so on!!!!

This is a disappointing facility: apathetic staff who show no interest in the well-being of the elderly residents, taking long breaks outside and in the corridors. Snacks are only given if the person is in their room; otherwise, they are not served. The staff is too small to even do the bare minimum. The food is of poor quality and not very nutritious. Once the food is served, the doors are closed, and the residents are left alone with their trays. Both within the facility and in the grounds, there are no safety measures adapted to the needs of the elderly. For example, there are few grab bars, the layout is very poor, and some areas are difficult for people with disabilities to access.
