After traveling 700 km, renting an apartment for the week, complying with their requirement to take a Covid PCR test (the results of which were only given to us on Thursday, before the Friday lockdown), and after a complete Orange network outage affecting the area (we traveled miles to get them back), I asked the director if I could see my grandparents for 10 minutes, or at least say hello before leaving that evening or the next morning, as we couldn't stay any longer, stuck with our young children, without anything, and confined. She refused, saying, "It's too complicated to organize." What's so complicated about it? Bringing down two patients who would have been brought down, in the same way, for their meals? So thank you, Madam Director, for preventing me from seeing my grandparents, as you didn't deign to show the slightest understanding or empathy. Perhaps I'll never see them again... Thanks to you! Update: Two months later, my grandfather passed away. I never saw him again.
