My father has been in this facility for a year. The staff is excellent: attentive, calm, very patient, gentle, and clean. They listen to both the patient and the family, and the hours are convenient. We can go whenever we want, which is especially helpful now with the heat. By going in the morning, I can take my father for a walk. There's a room where we can share meals if we wish. I moved my father from the Résidence Médicis in Mérignac, where he had been for over two years. He wasn't happy there. The staff were good, but never the same. The director was very unpleasant; her only goal was to see how much money each patient would make. In a double room, there was no privacy, and in the summer, it was unbearably hot in his room. It's never easy to move an elderly person to a different nursing home. I'm very satisfied and happy to have made this decision today. My father is much happier at the Pondensac nursing home. In addition, outside there is a very pretty park in the residence, very well maintained for walks, there is also a park next door outside, a very shady path where you can walk along the Garonne river.
