Situated in La Bastides-sur-L"her (4 rue de 8 mai 1945) this exceptional restaurant has rustic charm with modern overlay. Vast selection of wine. Friendly host. Exceptional food presented masterfully. The food is out of this world. The carpaccio of scallops in passion flower juice was beyond words (my friend let me try one piece). The fricassè de ris de veaux. Wow. The wine was excellent also. The chef even came out to talk with us. Too bad my limited French didn't allow me to fully participate but the food spoke for itself. If you are in the area, do yourself a favour and book a table.

We enjoyed a wonderful lunch with friends today. We chose to sit outside to enjoy the surrounding scenery of the river and mountains. The hostess was very attentive to ensure we had the shade we sought from the sun. The staff were extremely friendly, the service was excellent and the food was delicious. Great value too - so what more could you ask for! I highly recommend you visit this restaurant if you are in the area. Unfortunately I keep forgetting to take photos of the food. It was so delicious looking I just had to tuck in. For main course I had the fillet de St Pierre and and my wife had the poire de bouef - both delicious!

Very good cuisine from a local chef who has returned to his Lavelanet birthplace after years in Montpellier. Japanese influences in the menu, tataki and similar. This time we also had excellent fillet steak and and really well presented duck breast.

Excellent food in a lovely environment. Very attentive service, including from the chef, who circulated to seek feedback on his cuisine. The plates were very well presented, delicious and ample.
