Résidence Ter et Mer à PLOEMEUR

A huge thank you to all the staff at the residence for their kindness towards our grandfather and father. Thank you to Noémie for her message, which deeply touched us.

We met on the Tour de France, a few kilometers from Mur de Bretagne, a small group of residents of the Hepad were very friendly, we spoke with some people, we wanted to congratulate the staff who surrounded them for their professionalism and the kindness they brought to them. Congratulations to the staff. Mr and Mrs Godin.

Thank you to the Ter et Mer nursing home for your warm welcome and for the wonderful time we spent together with the residents during my "Gourmet Watercolors" workshop. And thank you to Jessica, the bubbly activities coordinator, who trusted me to lead this creative and delicious afternoon themed around Beaujolais wine 😂🤩. What a pleasure it was to co-lead the workshop and offer them a moment of pure joy and happiness in all its simplicity... All those colors, those flavors, and those smiles! A truly magical moment ✨

My father lives at this facility, and things are going quite well, despite a few drawbacks. The facilities are recent, the rooms are spacious, well-equipped, and pleasant. The residence has various living areas: the main hall for gathering or watching a movie, smaller spaces equipped for family get-togethers, a garden for strolling, a beautiful dining room... There are many activities, and no two days are the same. At first glance, it's a charming place. However, once you start coming here often, you notice a few small flaws. The caregivers, while most of them very friendly, seem to be understaffed. Assistance tends to be kept to a minimum, and personal contact or small individual attentions can sometimes be overlooked due to lack of time. Another downside: the food, which comes from a remote central kitchen, is truly mediocre... even the caregivers admit that. According to them, there are plans to build an in-house kitchen, but when? No one knows. That said, after a somewhat difficult adjustment period, my father now seems to like it here. I always find him smiling, and that's the main thing.

Mom spent several weeks in this facility in temporary accommodation. She enjoyed her stay, she was able to bond with other elderly people. The activities are great and numerous! Overall, the staff is kind, welcoming and tries to take great care of the residents, which is not always easy given the understaffed nature of these facilities. The facility is large and bright. Mom really enjoyed it! Renovation work is underway to allow everyone to find their place. Thank you for this stay! I knew Mom was safe and well supported.
