My mother spent two and a half years in this nursing home. She received excellent care from the very kind staff, despite her significant cognitive impairment. The atmosphere in this residence is serene and welcoming, and the staff is highly professional.

Dad tumbled down about twenty steps in his wheelchair on the unprotected staircase of the nursing home. The lounge where he used to gather is located directly above these stairs. The nursing home refuses to admit responsibility because there is a tactile paving strip right in front of the staircase. But at 91 years old, elderly people can experience impaired judgment or simply diminished perception. The strip isn't enough. In any case, right after the accident, the director rushed to put up bollards in front of the staircase, but it was too late; he should have anticipated the danger. Dad had many health problems after this dramatic fall. He passed away two months later. Our grief is still raw.

In the process of registering my two parents on VIATRAJECTOIRE for their upcoming placement in a nursing home (EHPAD), I requested a visit to this facility, which seemed logical to me in order to make a preliminary selection. (I should mention that I have already visited two facilities in Caluire). The person I contacted informed me that prior appointments are not given because it disrupts operations and affects the residents, takes time, in short... in other words, they have other things to do... and refused to grant me this appointment, telling me to submit the medical and administrative file on the platform in question and that it would be reviewed afterward. I pointed out that one cannot choose a facility, let alone register there, if one doesn't know it... In short, we're going in circles, with no understanding whatsoever. As a result of this call, I'm simply removing this nursing home from my list, and the comments made during this conversation leave me truly perplexed!

The reception is excellent, as is the activities team, and the residence boasts a lovely park. The room and the entire establishment are impeccably clean. The permanent staff take very good care of the residents; however, there is a high turnover rate, and many of the temporary staff are poorly trained. A funeral home is sorely lacking, which seems normal for a residence of this type. Upon a resident's death, billing continues at full price, even though they obviously receive more care, more personal hygiene assistance, and more meals—this is unacceptable. The director is more adept at managing his cash register; it's a shame he doesn't show a modicum of humanity towards families through an email or text message. This truly tarnishes the image of the establishment, where so many people work tirelessly to care for our elders.

A warm, human-sized retirement home with perfect organization, and above all, the staff really take good care of the residents, as if they were part of their family.
