I am posting this review to share my extremely painful experience at the nursing home "La Belle Isle Les Carrelet," where my mother, Mrs. Jacqueline Annie Siadous, resided from August 2025 until her death on January 4, 2026. Her condition deteriorated drastically: unkempt hair, black feet with no follow-up care (the podiatrist never came), mouth full of scabs, a frequently runny nose, numerous bruises on her body, a fall resulting in a head injury requiring stitches, significant bedsores that went unreported, locked in her room, a dirty room with traces of feces, dust, and furniture that was never moved. At the hospital, she was given a less intensive treatment because she was too unresponsive to the nursing home's medication. However, upon her return, the facility did not follow the prescribed medication: they increased the dosage simply because she was shouting, without trying to understand the cause of her agitation. Despite my requests, her basic needs were not met: glasses requested in September were never provided, and her wheelchair only arrived in December. She developed pneumonia (she had never smoked and had no lung problems in her entire life), then an RSV infection in mid-December, worsening her condition. The care and hospitalization were delayed and inadequate, contributing to her decline despite my repeated warnings. During December, at the Christmas party at the nursing home, while everyone was dancing, she was improperly positioned in a chair, in pain, screaming, with enormous scabs in her mouth. She was placed on end-of-life care without informing the family, and no doctor came to certify her death until more than 18 hours later, in a body bag and without cooling, with only the windows open. The death certificate was one day behind the actual date. I stayed with her until she was officially declared deceased, to preserve her dignity. I would like to emphasize that there were, despite everything, some very kind and compassionate caregivers, including the nursing assistants and Ms. Cany, whom I sincerely thank. Mr. Siadous and his family

A facility designed to accommodate dependent elderly people. Qualified and attentive staff.

My mother died of suffocation: she was served a whole slice of ham in her room. Having no teeth and some behavioral problems, she put everything in her mouth. No representative of the establishment at her funeral even though she had spent 19 years there...

The nursing home staff were very welcoming and provided excellent advice both before and upon the resident's arrival. Julie, the administrative secretary, and her colleague, Amavi, the head nurse, were all very helpful. The activities coordinator was friendly, and the caregivers and nurses on the main building were very pleasant and, above all, attentive to the families. We encountered a few problems, which were resolved immediately. Overall, a very good staff.

A real death trap!!!!! Unspeakable...... an establishment that should not exist these days and we are powerless to change things. Spectacular weight loss of residents due to lack of healthy food...disgusting food. In addition, the management absolutely ignores the complaints of residents' families: an establishment to be banned!!!!!! much less than a one-star rating
